Knowledge based economy has been proved to be the strongest pillar for the development of any nation. Keeping in view the importance of three key areas of research, innovation and commercialization in the development of knowledge-based economy of the nation, the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization has been established at Sindh Agriculture University, Tandojam on the directives by Higher Education Commission, Islamabad.

Traditionally, there has been a huge gap between the work done by the researchers in the universities and the actual consumers of those valuable outcomes. This newly established directorate will fill the gap between the research being done in universities and the actual consumers of those innovations.

Moreover, this office will help the research experts to get their projects funded from various organizations around the globe and it will strive to utilize commercial benefits resulting from the work done by the scientific community in the University.
